Depth of field

DEPTH OF FIELD:

The depth of field in a shot refers to the distance between the closest and furthest thing in frame. It's controlled by the aperture, or the amount of light let into the shot through the lens. Aperture is measured in f-stops. f/2.6 is the widest lens and f/16 is the smallest.

WIDE
Wide depth of field shows everything in a shot
in the same amount of detail.

SHALLOW
Shallow depth of field focuses on something
in the foreground whilst the background is
blurred and out of focus.

MY ATTEMPT
We used a combination of shots with wide
and shallow depth of field, playing around
with different techniques. Shallow depth of
field looks really interesting
